If my lawyer fees are deductible in defense of taxable income--are the expenses of mileage to the lawyer also included? Lawyer was in MA and i was in PA

fighting an employment appeal. so had to go to state and lawyer of employer-MA. I live in PA

No, unfortunately, the IRS considers your travel expenses in this case to be personal, and therefore nondeductible.
