If I made less then $20,000 in 2018 why didn't I qualify for child tax credit for my dependent?

First, make sure that you qualified by looking atthe TurboTax FAQ below. 

What is the Child Tax Credit?

Then, if it seems that you should qualify, you should retrace your steps in the TurboTax interview.  Delete your dependent, then re-enter his or her information, bearing in mind the requirements in the FAQ.
