I work a full time job where more than 99% of my income comes from. Should I still use Self-Employed since I had a very small income through Amway?

I saw you have two similar questions - I have added instructions at the bottom on how to add the income in TurboTax Deluxe if you want to go that route.

If you don't have any expenses to claim against the Amway income, then you can use TurboTax Deluxe to add your small amount of business income and still file your regular wages.

If you have expenses, then you would still need TurboTax Self-Employed.  But, if its a very small amount of expenses, then it may not be worth upgrading to the Self-Employed to claim them.

You can enter your income on a Schedule C in TurboTax Deluxe by following the instructions below -

  • Log into your account and click Take Me To My Return (you must click this before searching if you are not already in your account)
  • Type “Schedule C" in the search box, top right of your screen, then click the magnifying glass
  • Click the "jump to schedule c" link in the search results.
  • You will arrive at the Your Business summary page where you can add a business
  • Follow the onscreen instructions to enter your business income
  • Be careful not to enter expenses or you will be prompted to upgrade to Deluxe (or you can enter them and upgrade if you wish - the program will give you a rough dollar amount of expenses it will take to make it worth upgrading ~usually around $600)
