I was working on my taxes last night and found a link to help document that wasn't correct.

I was entering a W2 last night and one of our W-2 had a code G in box 12.   I was prompted with a screen ask if the payer was a  State or Local Government (which it is) and another question about "electing to have employer make contributions to your deferred compensation "    I clicked on the Learn more button and got a help screen about "What is Mortgage Insurance".

I have a screen grab of the situation and attached it to the thread.

W-2 Box 12 with a G code should indicate a "Contributions to your 457(b) plan".  A 457(b) plan is an employer-sponsored, tax-favored retirement savings offered to public service employees and some nonprofit organization employees.

Did you import this W-2 or enter it manually?  Have you tried deleting it and then re-entering it?

Thanks for the response, the W-2 imported correctly.   My post is about a bug in the TurboTax user interface.

It looks like this was corrected in today's update.
