I was self employed for part of the year, why can't I deduct the payments to health care from marketplace from self employed income?

You can, however, they do not reduce your net income from self-employment.  They are shown on Schedule 1, Line 29, and reduce your taxable income, just not your self-employment income. You can only deduct the premiums paid while you were self-employed.

Thanks for helping! What I meant was why does Turbo Tax keep the "health" section separated from the health expenses in my income category? I don't know what to put in the health expenses category for self employment income?
