I turned 70 1/2 this year. Do I need to submit any paperwork other than my normal return? An annuity with Nationwide Ins. meets the req. deduction.

No. You just file a normal return. Nowhere on the actual IRS forms do you report that your taxable distribution from a retirement plan satisfied your Minimum Required Distribution (RMD) requirement. However, the TurboTax interview and worksheets will note that the RMD was satisfied.

The IRS only requires that you report yourself if you don't meet the RMD

You will get a form 1099R to enter into your return for it.  Were you getting any 1099R before for taking any distributions?  It will be the same.  When you get the 1099R in January post back if you need help entering it.
