I personally purchased a 38,000lb used vehicle to move. Form 2290 requires an EIN, and not a SSN. Are personally owned heavy vehicles are not required to pay this tax?

Unsure if I need to file form 2290. In addition to buying the heavy vehicle used, I also did not drive over 5000 miles in it in 2018, which appears to release this tax liability. .

Your employer identification number (EIN). You must have an EIN to file Form 2290. You can’t use your social
security number.  You can go to this link to get an EIN.  https://irs-ein-tax.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI5bn6iMKM4QIVx-J3Ch14zAJEEAAYASAAEgIza_D_BwE

If your gross weight is less than 55,000 lbs you do not have to file.

Look at bottom of page 4, as due to weight I don't think you have to file the 2290.
