I paid property tax at closing on a home I sold. It is not, therefore, included on my 1098. How do I get credit for this tax payment?

Yes, you should get credit for those taxes.

  1. Go to Federal
  2. Deductions & Credits
  3. Select Property (Real Estate) Taxes
  4. Follow the interview and post the additional tax.
