I paid on my closing statement on my VA loan the VA funding fee in the amount of $9719, however when I put in turbo box 5 it does not recognize.

Don't know what "box 5" is referring to. Looking at the 1098, box 5 is for mortgage insurance. Has nothing to do with funding fees. Can you provide more details please?
