I own two properties in IL (not rented out). One is my primary residence and other I also use frequently. When inputting property taxes, can I add both properties?

I want to add both properties to receive tax credit.  When I add both, it asks for tax amount that is not my primary residence.  When I review in TurboTax, it asks that I add Property Index Number (PIN) for adjacent property and after I complete, it asks for another.  To eliminate error, I basically inputted primary residence twice and secondary residence once.  I don't know what "adjacent property" means.  One of the properties is in city and other in suburbs.  How do I complete correctly?

Nope. For the federal schedule A, both properties would be added together. However, for the state of IL credit. only your primary plus a small adjoining lot are allowed. The law means the lot and your primary house are actually together, share a border. Your secondary home does not qualify for the IL property tax credit.
