TurboTax is not set up for that.

For this year, I recommend going to a tax professional that specializes with Nonresident Aliens and Dual Status Aliens.  Plus, there could be additional options or elections, depending on your specific circumstances, and the expert can determine if any of those apply to you.

@olivia-davis2-ut , generally agreeing with my colleague @AmeliesUncle ,  that perhaps it would be good to  consult / use the services of a tax professional familiar with international taxes and treaties.

However , you jump off of TurboTax, I would like to find out the following ( your answer  may actually your prevent using TurboTax--- because it does not support 1040-NR.

(a) Are you US person -- for tax year 2022   US person includes  US citizens, Green Card holders  and  Resident Alien for Tax purposes.   Resident  Alien for tax purposes are Aliens whom have met the Substantial Presence Test   ( 183  days present in the USA counting all days in the current tax year plus 1/3rd the days present in the previous year plus 1/6th  the days present in the 2nd previous year ).

(b) If you are not US citizen, which country are you a citizen of  ?

(c) If not a citizen/ Green Card holder , when did you exactly enter the country, with which visa, how are you employed -- govt. / educational institution / private  employer / in training or what ?

(d) are you married  and if so to whom ( another US citizen/ resident or an alien )?

Please answer and I will circle back to help --please
