I moved frm US-Canada on 8 Aug 2019. I am not a US/ Canadian citizen or GC. Do I need to file separate returns for both US as well as Canada on TT CA as well as TT USA?

You will need to file two returns for the 2019 tax year.

  1. You will need to file a Canadian return for the period you spent in Canada. You should be able to do this return at To File a Canadian Return.
  2. Since you are not a U.S. Citizen and have only been in the United State since August you will need to file a Non-Resident return (1040-NR).

The non-resident tax form is not supported in TurboTax. You can use Sprintax to file your Form 1040-NR.
