I keep being told I will recieve No Renter's Credit in Minnesota based on my information, when I do qualify by all markers. Where is the error?

This is for the 2024 new renters credit, where the CRP is no longer filed seperate from the usual return.

To claim the credit, you must file an income tax return and provide your Certificate of Rent Paid (CRP) information.

To revisit that section:

  1. Open your MN return continue to the screen Other Minnesota Credits, select Renter's Credit and continue.
  2. On the following screen, select Yes if you meet all requirements and continue to enter your certificate of rent paid.
