I just bought a house in Oct 2024. It had a lot of clean energy improvements built into it. It is about 3 yrs old. Can i take the deductions for those improvements?

I bought the house, therefore I paid for the improvements that were put into the house. I would think that would allow me to write them off, but I don't want to get into trouble for doing that if I am not allowed to.

No.  In order to claim the clean energy credits you must be the original owner of the improvements.  You must purchase the product new, it cannot be used.   Buying the house does not count as buying the improvements.
