I havnt worked in ten years what how to claim credit?

Can i claim recovery rebait credit

yes - but not working doesn't mean you have no income. if you need to file a return for 2020 do not use this link

To claim the rebate, you will need to file a tax return even if you have no taxable income.  You should be able to use TurboTax free online. You will need to give yourself one dollar of fake interest income in order to e-file, because you can’t e-file a return with zero income. You can go to the section for bank interest and add a fake bank account with one dollar of interest. This trip has been used for years and the IRS has never objected. Then, your return should show the $1800 tax credit and an $1800 refund and you’ll be able to e-file for free. You will not need to e-file a state return.

Also, the program is not ready to do this, it needs to be updated. The IRS will not open e-filing until at least January 27. So don’t be in a rush.
