I have an S Corp with a W-2 and K-1. Turbotax does not allow me to enter a Solo 401K contribution.

When I navigate to the "Self-Employed Retirement Plans" section, TurboTax says:

"Self-Employed Retirement Plans are only for self-employed individuals (i.e., those filing Schedules C, F, or K-1)"

I have entered the Schedule K-1, but TurboTax won't allow me past this screen to enter Solo 401K contributions.

Help!

you are not self-employed. when it refers to k-1 it should have been limited to saying partnership K-1. the "solo" 401K must be a plan established by the S-corp and contributions to it are done through wage reduction and employer (ie S-corp  match)

consult with a retirement plan specialist so everything that can be done is done correctly.
