I have an HSA and did not make any withdrawal/ expenses from it last year. However, I made a withdrawal today to cover health expenses from 24. Do I need 1099 SA this yr?

The company that handles the benefits did not provide me with a 1099-SA, but it said on their website they are posted in January and I just made the withdrawal today.

You will get the 1099-SA for 2025 and will report it on your taxes next year.

Also, if you end up itemizing medical expenses on your 2025 tax return, when TurboTax asks you to enter your medical expenses, make sure to enter an item of Other expenses equal to the amount paid of expenses from the HSA in 2025, including those made to cover medical expenses paid in 2024 that were incurred after the establishment of the HSA.  TurboTax automatically subtracts the amount of an HSA distribution used for medical expenses when determining the amount of medical expenses to include on Schedule A.
