I have a certificate of deposit with citibank, which i submitted the 1099-INT form for, turbotax is marking it as a foreign account, is this correct?

i don’t know why it is marking it as a foreign account, it’s asking me to upgrade my account because of this too.

@emiliant

Go back and edit that 1099-INT form.

Make sure nothing is any box except box 1.

Do not put a zero in any other box...especially boxes 6 or 7....blank...entirely empty.

If you imported the form by taking a picture....DON'T...the AI that "interprets" the picture is not good enough yet to do it properly....

Delete the 1099-INT and enter it manually i.e when you start thru the 1099-INT, you select  "Type it in myself"
