I got a new teaching job this year. Can I deduct the Fingerprinting cost of $43 that the school district charged me as a job search expense?

The fingerprinting was mandatory for the job as the position was for a certified teaching position.

If you were hired by the school district, this may fall under the "Non-reimbursed employee expenses."  Check with IRS resource section and look to see if this qualifies under that section.  If you were not hired, it probably does not qualify.
