I entered an adjusted 1098 dividing all the numbers by 2 because I have a two-family building but it's displaying the full amount on my deductions. Does anyone know why?

I can't figure out where it's getting those numbers from and why it's using different numbers than what I entered.

Can you delete the 1098 and reenter? After deleting the form, I would clear your Cache and Cookies, before reentering it.

Make sure you delete the form and any associated worksheets.

If you are using:

  • TurboTax Online: see How do I view and delete forms in TurboTax Online?
  • TurboTax Desktop:
    1. On the top right, there is a FORMS button.
    2. Click on FORMS.
    3. Locate the form you want to delete.
    4. Click on the form name.
    5. Below the form, bottom left, select DELETE FORM button.
