I don't have a bank statement with my beginning mortgage statement for 1/1/2019?

Need the beginning balance for 1/1/2018

If your 1098 Mortgage Interest Statement (or any document you have) for 2018 shows the ending mortgage balance on 12/31/2018, just use the same number for the beginning balance on 1/1/2019.
