I do not understand the nonresidential use of property for New york question. I don't collect rent for the property I own. How do I address this question?

Was any rent you received for nonresidential use of your property 20% or less of your rental income during 2022? I don't collect rent for the property I own. Can you direct me on how to answer this question?

This can be a confusing question. Since you had no rental income, your nonresidential rent is 0% of your total income. Zero is less than 20%. That means you should answer "YES, your nonresidential rent made up less than 20% of your total income."
