I’d like to know where the number came from on form 1116. Can I just delete form1116 if I don’t claim foreign tax credit this year?

Yes, delete the Form 1116 if it is not needed for tax year 2024

 

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen

Click on Tools

Click on Delete a form

 

 

I'm trying to do this as well. When I navigate to the "Delete Forms" page, Form 1116 does not appear, even though TurboTax is trying to charge me $80 to use the form. I cannot find a way to get rid of it. Any other options that you know of?
