I bought a new car in a different state from where I live. How do I enter that in my taxes?

I have located the area for sales tax but am unsure if I should enter that for my state or the state I purchased it in.

You should enter the taxes you actually paid for that vehicle. You would want to enter that "large purchase" sales tax using the directions below:
