I believe TurboTax is doing wrong calculation on the form "2023 Schedule ICR Illinois Credits" when calculating Illinois Property Credit. How can I override?

  • My token number 1228786.
  • When I save return as PDF and review the form, I can see clearly that it's as per line 5, it should pick value from line 4g because that's lower compared to line 3. But it's always saying 0. I checked the Raw forms in TurboTax and I can see it has all the correct data but still not picking the lowest value. I am not able to override any value to fix this issue.

@AmyC I saw your answers on other thread and I have updated the desktop version to latest and also restarted the TurboTax.

I'm having this same issue with desktop TTax 2024 - working on it 2/15/25

seems like the Line 4g is not flowing into Line 5 - just stays at $0 -

Is there any kind of limitation with respect to the Fed AGI - ??

found that was true for the Illinois Exemptions....

being limited to $0 - when Fed AGI was over a certain large amount

(happen to sell some stocks in 2024)

I am having an issue with TTDeluxe on 3/9/2025. It does not put the correct number on IL-CR Line 51 from MO-1040 line 36. The MO NRI Part C shows 100%, so it should use the full number from MO-1040 line 36.

I would like to take a deeper look at this. However, I need a diagnostic file which is a copy of your tax return that has all of your personal information removed. You can send one to us by following the directions below:

TurboTax Online:

  1. Sign into your online account.
  2. Locate the Tax Tools on the left-hand side of the screen.
  3. A drop-down will appear. Select Tools
  4. On the pop-up screen, click on “Share my file with agent.”
  5. This will generate a message that a diagnostic file gets sanitized and transmitted to us.
  6. Please provide the Token Number that was generated in the response.

TurboTax Desktop/Download Versions:

  1. Open your return.
  2. Click the Online tab in the black bar across the top of TurboTax and select “Send Tax File to Agent” *
  3. This will generate a message that a diagnostic copy will be created.  Click on OK and the tax file will be sanitized and transmitted to us.
  4. Please provide the Token Number (including the dash) that was generated in the response.

*(If using a MAC, go to the menu at the top of the screen, select Help, then, “Send Tax File to Agent”)
