I believe I have stumbled across a bug in TT Deluxe regarding foreign earned income exclusion. I cannot call the 800 number from my location. What to do?

Even though TT states the foreign earned income will not be included in my income, I believe that the tax computation is indeed including it. I find no way to see the actual tax computation that TT is making.

According to IRS, an exclusion of up to $103,000 is allowed per individual. Ours is much less than that so the numbers should wash. But that's not what is happening in the tax computation.

Submission of a support request ends up with requesting I call an 800 number in the US. I cannot complete this call from my location outside the US. I requested a non-800 number to call via an additional support request but have received no communications - even though support has my email address.

The calculation in TurboTax is correct. The answer that you found to someone else's similar question, at the link below, explains why the excluded foreign income increases the tax on your non-excluded income. That is the way that the tax law requires the tax to be calculated. The new tax law has not changed this. The calculation is done on the Foreign Earned Income Tax Worksheet. Since you are using the CD/Download TurboTax software, you can see the worksheet in forms mode. You can also save your tax return as a PDF with all forms and worksheets, and the Foreign Earned Income Tax Worksheet will be included in the PDF.
