I am using TT Home & Business. Turbo Tax only wants to use actual vehicle expenses instead of the standard per mile rate. Why?

Did you use actual expenses the first year that you used the vehicle for business? If so, you cannot use the standard mileage rate. You have to continue using actual expenses every year.

I have never used actual expenses since we purchased the vehicle in 2016 - have always used the standard mileage rate.
