I am unable to enter property taxes in the expense section of TT premier. I get a screen stating "We need a bit more info to see if you qualify". What to do?

The button that should allow me to enter details is not active. Is there a known bug?

Linking entries to having a mortgage (1098) is a bad condition.

the article doesn’t advise the workaround which is to open the forms section to enter the data.

this is one of the worst versions of TT I’ve used in the past 30 years.

We’re currently working to resolve this issue with entering property taxes paid. If you’d like to receive progress updates, please sign up at this tax help article.

In the meantime, you can take the following steps as a workaround.

If you are using the desktop version, you can simply select forms mode, then go to to the Home Mortgage Interest Worksheet and enter the total of what you paid as well as the amount from form 1098 on line 9 of the worksheet.

If you are using the online version, then you can go back to the entries and remove the property taxes from the 1098.  Then go back to Your Home>>Property Taxes and enter the full amount (what you paid and what was paid through escrow on your 1098) all at once in the Property Tax category.

Entering it all together will not have any erroneous effect on your return, as it all ends up in the property tax line regardless of where you enter it.

Same problem with Deluxe version. I have no mortgage interest to report, there previous suggestions do not apply, Also link in message that you are working to resolve the problem does not apply to the issue. I am stuck until this issue is resolved!
