I would suggest you to remove the Form 2555-T from the program.

To delete the Form 2555-T in the TurboTax online version, go to:

1.  Sign into your account, select Take me to my return

2.  Select My Account (top of screen)click on the drop down arrow

3.  Select Tools

4.  Under Other helpful links, choose Delete a form

5.  Select Delete next to the Form 2555-T and Continue with My Return

First you have to find the tax form with foreign tax and remove the entry- check your 1099-B, 1099-INT, Schedule K-1s or 1099-DIV (Box 7) then follow the steps to delete the Form 2555.

This form is somehow added if I have foreign tax on investments, not income.  It seems to carry over from previous year where a K=1 was entered. I have no K-1's this year. How do I delete this and other forms related to K-1's on the PC (not online) version of turbotax?

If you are using the desktop version, to remove K-1 related forms, here are the steps:

  • Open up your tax return if you have not already done so.
  • At the right upper corner, select Forms mode
  • In the Forms mode, the left side shows a list of all the generated forms, locate and click on Schedule K-1 and related forms
  • At the bottom of that form, click Delete Form
