I am trying to complete my Final Check before filing my 2020 Federal Return. I need to check the following entry: Form 8889-T: HDHP coverage checkbox How/where Do I

make this change? If I have checked the HDHP by mistake where do I correct this. I just have regular insurance through my employer, and do have a HSA account.

I do not see a Form 889-T being referenced in my return anywhere.

Switch to the FORMS mode ... look at the list of forms on the left ... find the

RED !

mark ... click on that form and make the needed change in the window on the right ... look for the red/pinkish box being referenced.

If you are making HSA contributions listed on your W-2 box 12 code W then you MUST have a HDHP and you must complete that section ...

The HSA is handled in 3 parts in the TT program :

First the contribution:

Next the limitations screen to confirm you are eligible to make the contributions:

Until you complete the HSA portion of the TurboTax interview to establish your eligibility for an HSA contribution, TurboTax will treat the amount entered on the W-2 form as an excess HSA contribution.

And lastly any distribution:
