I am paying my sons car monthly payment, can I deduct car payment amount as charity or other deduction?

While it is very nice of you to pay his care payment, you cannot deduct the amount as a charitable deduction on your return.

Any amounts deducted as charitable contributions have to be paid to approved charitable organizations by the IRS.

Can I deduct the amount as "other deductibles"?
