I am on SSDI and I receive mony from SSDI for dependents. Should these be calculated separately when determining if they should be taxed?

I am on Social Security Disability, and I receive additional money for dependents. Should these amounts be added together or separately before 1/2 is subtracted to determine if it is taxed?

Your child's Social Security Disability will be reported on their own tax return and not reported on the parent's tax return.

Did you get a separate SSA-1099 for them?  If their ssn is on it then it only goes on their return.  If that is all they have they don’t have to file a return and nobody reports it.
