I am a writer/part-time adjunct. How do I calculate how much of my work I do from home? I work from home most of the time, but not sure how to file.

I do the lion's share of my grading, planning for readings, workshops and classes, creating new work and setting up readings at home on my computer. I am in the classroom between 6-8 hours a week generally for 9 months of the year.

In 2016 there was a total of 261 working days in a calendar year. You will need to determine the 9 month full year equivalent (may have to manually). Let's say that equals 195. You tally a total of home hours of 143 of that amount. That would equal 73% at home or 143/195 = x.
