I am a US citizen residing in Canada. Does TurboTax file in a way that respects US-Canada Income Tax Treaty rates (generally 15%)? TurboTax has been unable to answer.

Are you asking about the US TurboTax product for a USA return as opposed to Canada TurboTax for a Canadian return?  Or perhaps both?   I'll see if someone familiar with international filing can comment.

@ pk

Are you familiar with the tax treaty in regards to this?  If so, thanks!

I am asking specifically about the US Turbo Tax product and how to claim treaty benefits (reduced tax rate to avoid double taxation).

Although if there is also an answer about the Canadian product (so how to do it on the other side), I would welcome that help as well.

I have this exact question. As a US citizen living/working in Canada I can't figure out how to claim my Canadian (worldwide) income on my US tax forms without being double taxed. Did you figure this out?
