It depends on if you are a W-2 employee or if you are a business owner.

 

Sole proprietors can utilize Schedule C to report the tools (Federal > Wages & Income > Self-employment income and expenses). 

 

For the typical W-2 employee, unreimbursed job-related expenses aren't deductible in 2024.
