Please follow the steps below to delete Foreign Income on your return:
- Login to your TurboTax Account
- Click "Federal" from the left side of your screen
- Scroll down to “Foreign Earned Income and Exclusion” and click “Edit”
- Say "Yes" to "Did you make any money outside the U.S.?" (even if you didn’t).
- On the screen "What Form(s) Was Foreign Income Reported On?" at least one box should be checked before you continue.
- Clear out any income numbers on the next screen.
- Continue through the foreign income section until you reach the screen "Do you want to try and exclude your foreign earned income?"
- Answer "No" then click "Continue" and follow any on-screen instructions.
If you had selected foreign income on your W-2 then please go back to the W-2 section:
- Click on the Search box on the top and type “W-2”
- Click on “Jump to W-2” and you should see the “Your W-2 info” screen
- Click "Edit" and continue until "Let's check for uncommon situations" screen
- Deselect "Worked outside the U.S." and click "Continue"
- Then follow the steps above
