I accidentally checked yes for having a foreign account, then cancelled it. Now it is requiring Deluxe when I check out. How can I fix this?

Search for foreign assets and make sure you have answered NO.  *********see below.

 

If you have more than $1500 of taxable interest or ordinary dividends, Schedule B is required, and Schedule B is not included in the Free version.   Follow these steps to downgrade to a different TurboTax Online product:

 

  1. Open your return if you haven't already.
  2. In the left menu, select Switch Products.
  3. Select Downgrade.

 

Depending on what your tax situation was last year, you might need to use new tax forms to claim the same deductions, credits, or forms of income.   Some of the situations that are in TurboTax Deluxe and TurboTax Live Deluxe, instead of in Free Edition, include:
