hsa contributions in 2024

As I am completing my 2024 taxes, the system is saying my spouse had a lapse in coverage from the high deductible plan, which is not correct. How do I fix? Also where do I put in the balance of my hsa at the end of 2024 so I my hsa contribution is not considered as income in my tax return. Thanks

If your spouse was covered under your family plan, your answer to the question What type of High Deductible Health Plan did [spouse] have on December 1, 2024? should be None. The question is referring to the HDHP that your spouse had in their name .me.

If you need to correct, return to the section, and answer the questions again. Follow the instructions below:

  1. Sign into TurboTax and open or continue your return
  2. Type hsa in the search box
  3. Select the Jump to link in the search results
  4. Edit your answers in the HSA interview and make sure that you answer None for your spouse.

Enter your HSA contributions in the Deduction & Credits section under HSA, MSA Contributions.
