HSA contribued without HDCP

My spouse contributed to her old HSA account (not through payroll) without HDCP this year. She had HDCP 2 years ago. She is with her own health insurance. I have my own insurance and HSA.

How to account for her HSA contribution to her own HSA account without eligible HDCP while filing tax return?

Thanks.

was your HDHP coverage single or family.    if single, she made an excess contribution to her HSA.  to avoid 6%  penalty she must withdraw contributions and earnings by 4/15/2020.

It was single HDCP.
