How to input 1042-S info into 1040-NR?

Hi, As a nonresident alien, I received a 1042-S form with box 1 code 36, and another with box 1 code 37. Sprintax does not provide those codes. Does that matter if I skip that? There are no tax held on these forms and I believe I don't have to pay tax on the capital gain as a nonresident alien. I also have a K1 (1065) since I just changed my status with the broker at the end of 2022, I was once a resident alien before I left US. Sprintax does not have a place to input K1. How should I input K1 into 1040-NR? Many thanks!

In this case, i would suggest that you use the Sprint Tax chat service to answer these questions. It sounds like some of this income is to be reported since this is US-based income and you would need to contact them for further assistance to advise you how to report this on your 1040 NR.

We can only advise you how to report on resident returns. Click on the link i provided above, registered an account, and then chat them on how to report this on your return.
