Please help! I have bought and sold foreign mutual funds in 2021 using my foreign bank (I am a US Citizen). This bank does not generate 1099-B nor does it report to US IRS.
I need to use form 8949 to report all the short-term sales (I lost a lot of $). But TurboTax is only allowing people to input 1099-B to autogenerate 8949. How can I just go directly into 8949?
I noticed that in 2020 Turbotax you could answer that 1099-B was not issued. But this is not an option in 2021 version.
What could I do? Do I just make 8949 myself separately? How would this connect to my current TurboTax progress?
I am so confused.
