How much do you have to make to qualify for earned income credit my neighbor keeps asking me but i have no idea.

Have your neighbor look in the instructions for Form 1040 - there is a chart in their with EIC amounts:  https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i1040gi.pdf
