How do you remove 1099-OID, Foreign Accounts under income? I have nothing to do with Foreign Accounts yet it shows up and I cannot delete it. How can I get rid of it?

I would first try to delete it on the entry screens.

  • While signed in and working in TurboTax
  • Click on Federal in the left-hand black menu
  • Click on Income and Expenses
  • Scroll down and click on Show More next to Interest and Dividends
  • Click on Start or Revisit next to 1099 OID, Foreign Accounts

Answer yes to get into the entry screens. Blank out all the entries you see.

If this does not work for you, try deleting Form 8938, Statement of Specified Foreign Financial Assets, and Schedule B, Form 1099 OID.

  • In the left-hand black menu, choose Tax Tools then Tools.
  •  Click on Delete a Form from the window that pops up.
  •  You should now see the Review Form List. Scroll down the list and click Delete on Form 8938, and Schedule B, Form 1099 OID.
  • You may get a pop up telling you additional worksheets and forms are being deleted. Approve and click delete.
  • You should come back to the Review Form List. Scroll to the bottom and click Continue with My Return.
