How do I know if I receive a property tax refund in the state of Minnesota?

Is it too late to file for a property tax refund?

Did you enter your Property Tax Statement (for homeowners) or your Certificate of Rent Paid (for renters) into TurboTax?  If you do, it will calculate if you qualify for the credit or not.  It will need to be mailed (TurboTax can not e-file it).

If I remember correctly, you can get back into the program by saying you are going to amend (even if you are not going to amend) then go to the Minnesota section and it was ask you about the Property Tax Refund on Form M1PR.

Although it was "due" on August 15th, you have until August 15th of the NEXT year until it is no longer valid.  That means if you are talking about your 2023 return (with your "taxes payable in 2024" for homeowners, or the 2023 CRP for renters), you can still file it.
