How do I know if I qualify to receive a homeowner's exemption on my primary residence?

There is a new question while filing my state taxes that asks about the "Property Owner's Residential Exemption Termination Declaration". How do I know if I was to declare that I no longer qualify to receive a residential exemption or not?

What state? Also, just about every locale I'm aware of, property taxes are assessed at the county level. So check your property records on the county tax assessor's website. I would think that would show if you no longer qualify for any exemptions.
