How do I enter income from coal mining on property that I own mineral right to? It's not remtal property or a business I operate. I just get part of the proceeds.

They sent me a 1099-MISC

That would likely be royalty income reported in box 2 of your Form 1099-Misc. You would report that in the Wages and Income section of TurboTax, under Other Common Income, then Income from Form 1099-MISC. After you enter the form, you will be notified that a Schedule E was created on which the royalty income will be reported. You will then have to navigate to the Rentals and Royalties section in the Business area of TurboTax and to enter other information pertaining to the royalty income entry.
