How do I deduct property tax on my vacation home in canada as well as main US home? Do I just add the 2 property tax amounts together and enter it in schedule A?

Under the Property Taxes entry, there is a separate box for your Main Home and Other Property.

You can deduct property (real estate) taxes paid on your main home, a second home, a third home, timeshares, or any other real property that was not used for business or rental.

Property taxes are usually deductible in the year you paid them to the taxing authority.  You may be allowed a tax deduction for the pre-payment of state or local real property taxes in 2017 if two conditions are met: You make the payment in 2017, and your taxes were assessed before 2018 (in most cases, this means you got a bill for them).

Does that include vacation properties outside the country?

You can claim mortgage interest on your residence and one additional residence, and property taxes on any number of residences.  It doesn't matter if either residence is in the US or elsewhere.  No special documents are required.  You would have to restate any payments that are in Canadian dollars to US dollars.
