Please follow the instructions below:

 1. Login to your TurboTax Account
 2. Click "Take Me To My Return"
 3. Click "Federal" from the left side of your screen
 4. Click “Deductions &Credits” on the top
 5. Scroll down to “Child and Dependent Care Credit” and click “Edit/Add
 6. Continue until you get to the "Pick a dependent and a provider, and tell us how much you paid" screen and enter the expenses

It doesn't allow me to select a dependent and provider since I have already entered one in. I get the following message: "your return already includes the 4,000 tax credit". However, when it is reviewing my federal info. at the end it says that I need to enter an amount in "provider 2 amount paid". I just need to be able to get back to that screen.

Did you have more than 1 Provider? And when you get to the "Pick a dependent and a provider, and tell us how much you paid" screen you can't edit anything?

Yes, I had more than one provider because I have 2 dependents. When I originally started I entered the first provider amount and it was over $4k so it told me that I got the max. credit of $4k and now it will not let me enter the other provider information even though I have providers in the form from last year. I'd like to enter the information even though I've already reached the max. because when it does the federal review at the end it is telling me that I have to enter it.

You might have to delete the other entry if it doesn't let you enter the amount to avoid the error report at the view.

yes, but the problem is that I can't get back to the screen where I have the option to delete the entry or edit it.

You might have to use TurboTax phone support to walk you through this technical problem. https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/3300041
