If she qualifies as your dependent then you can probably claim your grandchild on your return. On her return she has to say she can be claimed on someone else's return. If she files as a dependent she can not claim any dependents of her own.
So we don't know if you can claim your daughter in the first place. How old is she, is she a full time student, how much did she make?
