Hello. I am living overseas and taking the foreign income credit. Can I file my state taxes as a resident, or must I file as a nonresident to get the credit?

Filing a Resident tax return for your state doesn't affect your eligibility for the Foreign Earned Income Credit or Exclusion on your federal tax return.
